      Planning
        The Morarka Haveli was planned and constructed bearing two main concepts in mind- the first being the social context, and second being the Climatic factor.

      Social Context
      The existence of the 'Purdah' system in Rajput families and the prevalent customs of Shekhawati resulted in an introverted house. The courtyard was planned keeping the system of separation of men and women folk of the family in mind. The outer court termed as 'Mardana' were for male family members and the inner court termed as 'Zenana' were for female members of the family. The third broadly defined area of the Haveli was the 'Nora', or the service-yard.

      Climate Context
