Morarkas are
Vaishya-garg Agarwals. They have their origin at Sikar. During
the changes in the political set up during 1813. The Morarka
family migrated to Nawalgarh. Having
prospered as a family after so many years of business in the
Shekhawati region and subsequently in the commercial capital of
india i.e. Mumbai, the Morarkas decided that it was time to give
back to the community that had been home to their endeavors
through Morarka Foundation. The Morarkas have
also built a number of buildings including Havelis, Temples,
Museum, wells and many others.
Through the
formation of the Morarka Foundation, they embarked upon an
ambitious program of rural development whose flagship activity
involves the conversion of hundreds of small conventional farms
across the region to certified organic farms. |
